Springfield Symphony Orchestra Welcomes Four New Board Members

We are pleased to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors: Bob Bolduc, Graham Cahill, Sandra Doran, and Eileen McCaffery. These new additions bring the Board’s composition to 13 persons in the 15-member Board. In 2022, the SSO welcomed four other board members, further expanding its diversity and expertise.

Bob Bolduc is the Founder and former CEO of Pride Stores and recently co-founded the Hope for Youth & Families Foundation with his wife, Roberta. This foundation aims to empower young individuals with the necessary resources to create pathways to success. Bob also serves on several other boards, including the National Association of Truck Stop Operators and the Center for Human Development.

Graham Cahill headshot

Graham Cahill serves as Lead Counsel, Insurance and Corporate Tax at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) in Washington, D.C. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an LL.M. in Taxation with Distinction from Georgetown University Law Center. Graham actively contributes to the Insurance Tax Conference and has been co-chair of the American Bar Association, Section of Taxation, Insurance Companies Committee.

Sandra Doran headshot

Sandra Doran holds the position of the sixth president of Bay Path University in Longmeadow. She aims to strengthen the institution’s mission of empowering undergraduate women and graduate women and men to become leaders in their careers and communities. Sandra is actively involved in various national boards and serves as the chair of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation.

Eileen McCaffery headshot

Eileen McCaffery is the Executive Director of the Community Music School of Springfield (CMSS). CMSS is a not-for-profit organization that offers music education and high impact partnership programs, ensuring access to the arts for individuals and families in the community. Eileen actively contributes to the Springfield Cultural Partnership and serves as an advisory board member of John J. Duggan Academy/Springfield Public Schools.

The SSO has recently adopted new bylaws, enabling the Board’s expansion to 17 members over the next two years while implementing term limits for board members. According to Paul Lambert, President and CEO of the SSO, the addition of these new Board members, along with the earlier additions in 2022, brings a diverse range of background and experience that will contribute significantly to building a sustainable future for the SSO.
