Performance Policies

Late Seating: Those arriving late to a performance will be asked to wait for an appropriate time to enter the house, and will be seated in the rear of the Hall between works, at the discretion of the House Manager, so as not to disturb fellow audience members or the orchestra. Patrons will be allowed to return to their ticketed seats during intermission. Those who wish to leave before the end of the concert are requested to do so between works, so as not to disturb others.

Children:  Children over the age of 4 years are welcome in the Hall and Lobbies of Springfield Symphony Hall on SSO concert nights. All children ages between 4-17 years must have a ticket for the performance.

Refunds: There are no refunds on ticket purchases. Postponed or rescheduled events will not be refunded. All single ticket sales are final.

Ticket Donation: Given the financial hardship that canceling events has on the SSO’s future, your willingness to donate your tickets back as a tax-deductible contribution is greatly appreciated. Transferring your ticket to a donation supports the SSO during these uncertain times. Please contact the Box Office at 413-733-2291 or follow this link to donate tickets.

Parking at Symphony Hall and Transportation

For SSO patrons, free concert night parking is always included with your concert ticket at I-91 South Springfield Parking Authority (SPA) parking garage on East Columbus Avenue or the Tower Square (Standard Parking) garage on Boland Way. Simply present one of your ticket stubs from that evening’s performance to the attendant as you exit any of these garages after the concert, and the parking is on us.

When other downtown events coincide with concert nights, we suggest planning to arrive earlier than usual to allow time for possible re-direction to an alternate parking facility. In the event that the I-91 South garage becomes full, you may continue one block to the Tower Square garage.

In addition to free parking on concert nights for SSO concert-goers, the MGM Springfield Loop, through PVTA service, provides a free public transportation that has several stops within walking distance from Symphony Hall. Review the MGM Springfield Loop map and timetable before a concert to plan your trip downtown.
