In this week’s episode of SSO’s Homegrown Series, Principal Trumpet Thomas Bergeron transports us to the stage at Deerfield Academy, where he is Director of Chamber Music and Orchestra. Bergeron conducts the Deerfield Academy Chamber Orchestra in a socially-distanced performance of The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns that also features pianist Ben Wolfson, former member of the Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestras and winner of the SSO Rhodes Concerto Competition. SSO Music Director Kevin Rhodes and Bergeron introduce this very special presentation.
