Ruby Maddox serves as the Development Manager for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, bringing over 17 years of nonprofit leadership and deep expertise in purpose-driven philanthropy. She holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from Bay Path University and has previously served as Executive Director for both Gardening the Community and Leaders of the Free World, where she led volunteer teams and secured significant funding to advance their missions. Ruby’s commitment to community impact is also reflected in her strategic consulting work with numerous organizations across New England.
As an associate consultant with Rainmaker Consulting, Ruby works as a strategic planning consultant. She is also a co-facilitator and coach for their “Choose Abundance” philanthropy course, which supports nonprofits in transforming their organizational giving culture.
In her role with the Symphony, Ruby oversees major gifts, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships. Her “purpose-driven philanthropy” approach emphasizes aligning donors’ values with meaningful community impact, engaging them as true mission partners.
Beyond her work with the Symphony, Ruby is also a photographer and a retreat coordinator. She has traveled to eight countries and frequently visits Ghana, West Africa, a place she affectionately calls her home away from home.
