Spectacular music and visuals shaped this transcendent concert full-sensory immersion from the first note to the last. Under the baton of Nicholas Hersh, audiences were guided on an exquisite journey across the cosmos, feeling the rush of space and the flow of time. The Treble Singers of the Springfield Symphony Chorus added their voices to Holst’s “The Planets”, deepening the celestial mood of the piece. In the Mahogany Room, several cosmic exhibits graciously shared with us by The Springfield Museums enhanced the experience for several concertgoers who had the chance to get hands on with some exciting artifacts.
