On Sunday, the SSYO performed their outstanding Season Premiere concert at Belchertown High School. With over 120 musicians performing, the afternoon featured the performance of the Springfield Youth Camerata under the baton of Capella Sherwood. The Springfield Youth Sinfonia, under the direction of Matthew Bertuzzi, performed thrilling works of Greig and Tchaikovsky, including The Nutcracker. Closing out the afternoon, the Springfield Youth Orchestra under the direction of Jonathan Lam performed advanced orchestral works including Carmen Suite No.1 by Georges Bizet. The afternoon was filled with beautiful and fun music provided by our talented youth!
