What a radiant concert as we celebrated “Gloria!”, a journey that bridged the gap from Vivaldi’s Baroque mastery to the vibrant jazz of Gershwin. It was an afternoon that proved how music can transcend centuries, bringing us all together through shared joy and soaring spirit.
Our incredible guest artists brought this vision to life with such passion. Guest cellists Emily Taubl and Aron Zelkowicz captivated us with their beautiful dialogue, while guest soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine filled the hall with a voice that was truly heavenly. Under the brilliant baton of guest conductor Kedrick Armstrong, the orchestra reached new heights, fueled by the powerful, combined voices of the Springfield Symphony Chorus and the UMass Amherst Chorale.
To everyone who joined us: thank you for filling the hall with such warmth. This performance was a reminder of the power of collaboration and the timeless beauty of voices—both instrumental and vocal—coming together in perfect harmony.
