For the last ten years, Heather Gawron has focused her career fundraising for community non-profits in Western, MA. Most recently she served as Senior Director of Development at NEPM. There she focused on overseeing the non-profit media organization’s fundraising efforts, including grants, on-air fundraising campaigns, and its planned and major giving programs, contributing to the organization’s overall budget of $10 million. Prior to NEPM, Heather spent years at American International College, in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was Executive Director of Institutional Advancement. During her tenure at AIC, Heather was an engine for growth, strengthening and expanding the College’s alumni engagement program on a national scale. Her stewardship work with alumni yielded remarkable growth in engagement of the alumni base and landed one of the largest-ever single donations made to AIC, she also worked closely in supporting the grant director to secure Title III funding and developing scholarships funds to help support AIC students continue their education.
Prior to AIC, Heather worked for Alstom University, headquartered in Paris, France, and helped launch five international corporate university campuses across Europe and Asia.
Building upon a background in education, Heather has leveraged her skills and passion for classroom teaching, event planning, and fundraising to positively impact others’ lives. Although she spent much of her twenties adventuring and moving from place-to-place, Heather settled in Western Mass in 2007 and is now raising two little ones in Wilbraham. She is a lover of reading, photography, music, an avid foodie, and enjoys seeing the world through the eyes of her two girls.
