We are honored to be named among the 2024 BusinessWest Difference Makers alongside our friends and colleagues The Springfield Chamber Players. As we celebrate our 80th anniversary in Springfield we reflect on the strides we have made as a staple of culture and the arts in our wonderful city.

While honoring the rich tradition of classical music, we’re also dedicated to pioneering new and diverse programming that resonates with a broader audience. We aim to make the symphony more accessible and inclusive for all members of our community. It brings us great joy to see a growing number of first-time attendees at SSO concerts this season, alongside our cherished longtime patrons who have faithfully celebrated the beauty of live symphonic music in Springfield.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue sharing the joy of music with our community, nurturing the next generation of musicians, and exploring innovative ways to make symphonic music accessible to all. Together with our supporters and partners, we’re writing the next chapter of our story—one filled with laughter, inspiration, and, of course, plenty of beautiful music.
