Lunchtime Concert #1          November 2, 2007
We open our Lunchtime Concert series with selections from three works: Smetana’s ravishing The Moldau; Bernstein’s Serenade, a work for violin and strings, and Beethoven’s magical evocation of the Austrian countryside, The Pastoral, (Symphony No. 6).  Kevin Rhodes spins a wonderful narrative between works…

Lunchtime Concert #2          February 8, 2008
Our February concert features Mendelssohn’s sunniest work, The Italian, Symphony No. 4.  The music will transport you directly to Italy.  The orchestra will also perform one of Mozart’s first mature symphonies, Symphony No. 29.

Lunchtime Concert #3, April 25, 2008
We pay homage to the old fashioned romantics with this program that includes Rossini’s Overture to Silken Staircase, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 2 and selections from Brahms’ Symphony No. 3.
