Per service orchestra with 6 classicals, 4 pops, youth,
summer season of 4 concerts at Berkshire Choral Festival,
possibility of runout, add’l pops, ensemble work.
Travel & per diem in Master Agreement.
Recent rep includes R. Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra, Sibelius 2,
Prokofiev 5, Mendelssohn’s 3 & 4, Mahler 1 & 5, Rachmaninoff 1 & 2.
Should a current member of the orchestra win the position,
the runner-up may be offered the resulting vacancy.

Seeking youth orchestra musicians for the
2009-2010 season
Membership in the youth orchestras is by audition on August 25, 2009 by appointment or when seats are vacant. Entry is based solely on proficiency and not age. Seeking the following instruments for both ensembles: all strings (especially double bass), French horn, trumpet, and bassoon. The SYS seeks an additional percussionist.
