Here is your chance to perform with the
Springfield Symphony Orchestra as guest artist
during the annual Education Connection Concerts
March 14, 2012
We are looking for a young musician (ages 10 - 18) who lives within a 60-mile radius of Springfield to perform one movement from a concerto or other solo piece by memory with accompaniment. All concerto movements by Bach, Vivaldi, Hadyn, Mozart and Beethoven are acceptable. Works by other composers should be submitted to Karen LaRocque for approval no later than December 15, 2011.
Submit an audition CD along with the application form and a $15 non-refundable application fee, postmarked by January 1, 2012. The SSO will notify competition finalists by mail. Auditions will be held February 8, 2012 at Community Music School of Springfield.
